Vow Renewal Ceremony
A Vow Renewal is a beautiful way for a couple to celebrate a milestone anniversary, a new beginning or marking the end of a challenging time that they have gotten through.
It is a marvelous thing to watch a couple who are beginning their journey into marriage, full of hopes and dreams, but another thing to watch a couple celebrating the life they have shared together and watching them re-affirm their commitment and love for one another.
The best thing about doing a wedding the second time around, is that couples can do it their way and wherever they want, as there are no legal boundaries.
Some people like to renew their vows by themselves in a place that holds a special meaning for them, others like to take the opportunity to include their children and their grandchildren.
I craft a love story of the couple's marriage so far and enhancements, poems, songs and readings can be used in the ceremony. Couples can write a new set of vows or can reaffirm the vows they first made to each other.
Whatever way a couple choose to renew their vows, I help design and create a ceremony that makes their day as special as their first!
Commitment Ceremony
A commitment ceremony is a ceremony for any couple who wants to make a public declaration of their commitment and love for each other, without legally getting married.
There are many reasons a couple decide on Commitment ceremonies, they may not wish to change their legal status as individuals, or may be here visiting from another country, and will do the legal side of their marriage in their own country.
The ceremony can be a big affair, or can just be the couple on their own, with me on the edge of a cliff. As there are no legal requirements with these ceremonies, there are no restrictions on location. I will work with the couple to create a ceremony that reflects their love and personalities. A Commitment ceremony can include many of the elements of a legal wedding, such as vows, exchanging rings, unity candles, oathing stone, celtic handfasting or I can help create a new element that reflects the couple.
Baby Naming Ceremony
Baby naming/ welcoming ceremonies are becoming more and more popular in this modern day Ireland, with an increased number of people moving towards family celebrations that are underpinned by their own beliefs and philosophies, and not by a certain religion.
There is nothing more amazing than a new life or a new member of the family, and a baby naming/ welcoming ceremony provides an opportunity to introduce your friends and family to this new member of their community! As they say "it takes a village to raise a child".
Your baby naming/ welcoming ceremony can be held in a function room, your house, garden or any other venue you wish and you can include a mixture of music, readings, poetry.
Enhancements, such as appointing a guardian or making wishes for the child through a flower bouquet, a wish tree, time capsule or memory box are beautiful way to remember the special day.
